Having completed a BSc in Viticulture and Oenology at Lincoln University in 2007, Sarah began her career in the wine industry at Felton Road in Central Otago. She worked there over a period of 4 years, gradually moving from a vineyard supervisor role (where she gained much of her knowledge of Biodynamics) into the winery. She then went on to travel and do vintages in Canada, Burgundy, the Hunter Valley, Alsace and Austria, before settling into an assistant winemaking role in Clare, South Australia.
After the birth of their first son a few years later, Sarah and her fiancé decided to move back to NZ, settling in the Hawke’s Bay where her family are originally from. They have since had two more children, and have recently started their own small wine label.
